IOTA Artmonkeys are inviting local business people and their children to make their mark on Margate. As part of the refurbishment of the Margate Harbour Arm, Artmonkeys have been asked to create a wall of tiles featuring the children’s designs under the theme of ‘A postcard from Margate’. Children are being encouraged to use their experience of living at the seaside and to look at the rich diversity of the area’s marine and coastal wildlife.
Through a series of workshops children can come and create their own design on a tile which will be put on the Harbour Arm for posterity. Each tile is sponsored for £70 and will show the business name or logo on a strip across the bottom. For businesses who just want to contribute sponsorship, local schoolchildren will be able to decorate their tiles.
